To ensure the proper free chlorine residual of 2.0-4.0 ppm, adjust the chlorine dispensing rate of the floater or in-line feeder as indicated by a reliable test kit. For initial startup and weekly maintenance, it is recommended to use 1 to 3 tablets per 10,000 gallons of water. However, this dosage may need to be adjusted based on factors like heavy bather loads, wind, heavy rains, and high temperatures. Therefore, it is important to regularly test the water using a reliable test kit.

Maintain the pH within the range of 7.4-7.6 and total alkalinity between 80-130 ppm using the test kit as a guide. Pool chlorinating tablets should only be used in a floater or in-line feeder, and should not be added directly to the pool or mixed with other chemicals. Reentry into the pool is not allowed if the chlorine levels exceed 3 ppm.
